Green Key / Clef Verte
The Prévithal thalassotherapy centre holds the Clef Verte/Green Key certification, the leading international sustainable tourism label for tourist accommodation and restaurants.
The criteria for the Green Key label are based on:
- The implementation of an environmental policy and a socially responsible approach
- Intelligent waste management (reduction at source, collection and recycling)
- Control of energy and water consumption
- Responsible purchasing choices (particularly for food and maintenance)
- Active customer awareness-raising
Ecocert
The Ecocert ‘Sustainable Wellbeing Establishment’ label recognises establishments committed to an environmental approach aimed at preserving the planet and human wellbeing. Following a document review and an on-site audit, establishments may display the logo once the requirements have been met and verified.
For over 30 years, we have been supporting numerous stakeholders in the implementation and promotion of sustainable practices through certification, consultancy and training. Committed to organic farming since its inception, Ecocert has now expanded its activities to cover numerous sectors.

L'Hôtel de la Baie**** is committed to
- We have introduced a number of measures to help you minimise the environmental impact of your stay at the Hôtel de la Baie:
- Eliminating plastic: plastic water bottles have now been replaced by returnable glass bottles. These come with a reusable cup that you can take to the thalassotherapy centre to enjoy the herbal tea bar.
- Waste sorting in guest rooms
- Replacement of lights with LEDs
- Organic or eco-labelled, recycled or recyclable cleaning products: your rooms are cleaned and prepared with care using organic products.
- Flip-flops made in France & recyclable: the sandals provided at Prévithal have a limited carbon footprint. Indeed, they are made in France and are subsequently recycled.
- As part of our eco-friendly approach, we have decided to stop providing disposable flip-flops in guest rooms. We invite you to bring your own pair of pool sandals (clean and reserved for this purpose) for your treatments and when moving around the premises.
Need a quick fix? Flip-flops are on sale at the thalassotherapy reception for €7. We thank you for your understanding and for joining us in our commitment to preserving our environment.
Le Sound restaurant is commited to
The restaurant manager, chef and maitre d’ work together to forge numerous relationships with local partners. This is reflected in the quality of the dishes you’ll enjoy at Le Sound restaurant, facing the sea. All products are fresh and in season. They are supplied “raw”, so every preparation is homemade, except for the ice creams and sorbets.
